Transtura is an online platform aiming to revolutionize the automotive marketplace in Nigeria. With its MVP (Minimum Viable Product) version already launched, Transtura sought to enhance its user experience to attract more users, increase engagement, and drive conversions. It also serves as a mobility market place that connects automobile owners and commuters to vetted and verified service providers and vendors. As a UX Designer, my role was to lead the redesign effort, focusing on improving usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction

Research Phase

Before diving into the redesign process, extensive research was conducted to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of Transtura's target audience.
User Interviews:
Conducting interviews with current users and potential users to gather insights into their experiences, motivations, and challenges when using the platform.
Competitive Analysis:
Analyzing similar automotive marketplace websites to identify industry trends, best practices, and areas for improvement.
Usability Testing:
Testing the existing Transtura MVP with real users to uncover usability issues and areas of friction in the user journey.

Design Approach

- Streamlined Navigation: Simplified navigation menus and introduced clear call-to-action buttons to guide users through the website and facilitate task completion.
- Verified Listings: Implemented a verification process for vehicle listings to ensure authenticity and build trust among users. Verified listings are marked prominently, providing assurance to potential buyers.
- Mobile Optimization: Adopt a responsive design approach to ensure optimal viewing and interaction experiences across all devices, including smartphones and tablets.
- Improved Visual Design: Revamped the visual design with a clean and modern aesthetic, consistent typography, color palette, and visual elements to create a cohesive and visually appealing interface.

What I Learned from the Entire Process 🤩

The journey of building Transtura Marketplace reaffirmed the importance of user-centric design and thorough market research. It taught me to embrace feedback and iterate quickly, and how every challenge presents opportunities for learning and growth.
